Insights on Organic consumer trends from various countries: Drivers, Barriers, Marketing Claims and Consumer Preferences in Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, the U.S., Mexico, Canada, U.A.E., and Japan

In this session, recent consumer and market data from FiBL, Switzerland and Organic Denmark will be presented, including drivers and barriers, motives, consumer characteristics. Furthermore, data from the Organic Trade Association (OTA) in cooperation with Euromonitor on a recent survey to understand consumer preferences and knowledge about organic claims and organic labeling recognition in the U.S. Germany, Mexico, Canada, U.A.E., and Japan will be presented. This session will explore consumer knowledge and beliefs about organic labeling claims in these markets as well as other factors that drive consumer purchasing. The countries represented in this survey represent some of the largest organic consumer markets or markets with high per capita consumption worldwide, and understanding consumer trends, consumer knowledge and preferences can help companies and organizations.
