2024 feiert das statistische Jahrbuch zum weltweiten Biolandbau, "The World of Organic Agriculture" sein 25-jähriges Jubiläum.
Das Jubiläum wollen wir auf der Biofach mit einem Apero feiern. Er findet am 14. Februar 2024 ab 16 Uhr am FiBL Stand (3A-509, Halle 3a) statt. Es sprechen Karen Mapusua, Präsidentin von IFOAM – Organics International, Dr. Jürn Sanders, Vorsitzender der Geschäftsleitung FiBL Schweiz und Marco Kräuchi, Schweizer Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft.
Das Statistikjahrbuch "The World of Organic Agriculture" wird gemeinsam vom FiBL und IFOAM Organics International herausgegeben und vom Schweizer Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft SECO, dem Coop Fonds für Nachhaltigkeit und von der NürnbergMesse gefördert.

Organic production in the South from 2025 – the impacts of the new EU Regulation

Will the EU seed reform contribute to the Green Deal?

Organic farmers need access to seeds that have been specifically bred to perform well under organic conditions, and organic breeders contribute to maintaining and fostering agrobiodiversity, making sure that a wide choice of variety is available for farmers, who will in turn be able to offer a diverse range of products to consumers. The EU is completely revising the existing framework on the production and marketing of plant reproductive material. Is that a good thing for organic farming and will this ambition survive the European elections in a polarized EU political context?
